Meet Our Talent.
Chris Kramer
Chris began his career in the design and furniture business in 1989 at a high-end furniture store in South Bend. There, he began to develop his design skills while finishing school. Over the course of 32 years, Chris has successfully built a reputation for good taste, artful design, honest business practices, and integrity of character.
Chris launched C. Kramer Interiors in the fall of 2012. He believes good design is always a collaboration between the designer and client, and that listening to the client’s needs is the most important aspect in achieving a finished project that truly reflects the client’s taste.
Chris’ design philosophy is rooted in the elements of classic architecture, art and furnishings. He believes interiors should be tailored to stand the test of time. Mario Buatta once said, “Before you pick the paint make sure the architecture is right,” and Chris agrees. In addition to Mario Buatta, Chris is inspired by designers Mark Hampton, Albert Hadley, Michael Smith and Scott Snyder.
Chris regularly goes to furniture markets and antique shows as well as studies several major publications to keep up to date on design trends and new product introductions. His travels have afforded him the opportunity to experience the famous architecture and interiors of Europe firsthand.
Chris also hosts a radio show on 95.3 Michiana’s News Channel every Saturday. You can read more about it here.
Feel free to contact Chris and his team of design professionals for a design consultation. He’s always up for a challenge.

Tracy Magyar
Tracy began her love for design while building her home with her husband in 1991. She also began helping friends and family with their home decorating. So, they urged her to start her own business. So, she started a decorating business where she helped with color, furniture selections, window treatments, lighting, decor, as well as hanging wallcoverings. Tracy wanted to learn more about design and decided to get her design degree to gain more knowledge of all aspects of design and where she also learned the skill of using Auto CAD.
Tracy graduated with honors in 2009 from Ivy Tech, also receiving an award for Best in Show for one of her design projects. She began working on her own again, and during this time, one of the homes she was working on was in the 2014 Elkhart County Parade of Homes.
Then in the summer of 2014, she started working for C. Kramer Interiors. Her collaborative design skills, her design aesthetic, and talents in combination with the support and resources at C. Kramer Interiors are a formula for success in any project with which she is involved.

She also loves working with any style and truly enjoys getting to know her clients while designing their home and making it a place that reflects them and having a home they want to share with family and friends.

Jamie O’ Brien
Jamie joined the team in 2021 following a serendipitous conversation with Chris in the showroom. What began as a simple question regarding a piece of furniture has developed into a passion and career.
Jamie attended the University of Notre Dame where he obtained a business degree. He taught as a Montessori teacher for a decade before discovering the field of interior design through his interest and work in the real estate market. He draws on his experience from real estate projects, in Milwaukee and locally in South Bend.
Jamie’s strengths lie in his strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and innate instincts for design. These qualities, coupled with his background in business and education, enrich his approach to every project he undertakes.
Jamie has been working alongside the team of designers in an apprentice-style to learn and develop his design skillset on meaningful, tangible projects. Ever-curious and a quick study, Jamie is ready to assist you with any of your design needs.
