Chris Kramer

Growing up in Fort Wayne, Indiana Chris Kramer was greatly influenced by an uncle who was a designer, artist and true renaissance man. Chris states, "My uncle was continuously decorating our home and I think his love of the decorative arts rubbed off on me."

While in high school Chris's family relocated to South Bend where he graduated from high school and met his wife Valerie. Chris went into a management program for a major restaurant chain but after ten successful years he started to get the itch to pursue his love of interior design. With Valerie's support, Chris enrolled in the interior design program at Ivy Tech Community College while still working full time to help support his growing family. Chris took classes part time until he graduated with honors in 1992.

Chris began his career in the design and furniture business in 1989 at a high-end furniture store in South Bend. There he began to develop his design skills while finishing school. Over the course of 23 years Chris has successfully built a reputation for good taste, artful design, honest business practices and integrity of character.

Chris launched C. Kramer Interiors in the fall of 2012. He believes good design is always a collaboration between the designer and client, and that listening to the client's needs is the most important aspect in achieving a finished project that truly reflects the client's taste.

Chris' design philosophy is rooted in the elements of classic architecture, art and furnishings. He believes interiors should be tailored to stand the test of time. Mario Buatta once said, "Before you pick the paint make sure the architecture is right," and Chris agrees. In addition to Mario Buatta, Chris is inspired by designers Mark Hampton, Albert Hadley, Michael Smith and Scott Snyder.

Chris regularly goes to furniture markets and antique shows as well as studies several major publications to keep up to date on design trends and new product introductions. His travels have afforded him the opportunity to experience the famous architecture and interiors of Europe firsthand.

Feel free to contact Chris and his team of design professionals for a design consultation, or stop by the C. Kramer Interiors showroom to see a large array of product samplings.

Mindy grew up with artistic parents who encouraged her creativity. Her mother is a pianist and artist and her father was a talented carpenter and landscape gardener. Mindy's passion for interior design showed up at an early age, and as a young person she often delighted her parents by rearranging the furniture, pictures and accessories in their home.

After her family was raised, Mindy decided to turn her interior design passion and hobby into a career. She entered the Interior Design Program at Ivy Tech where she was pleased to receive "Best of Show" for her retail space design at the Interior Design Program's annual Student Show. She graduated with honors and received her Associates of Applied Science in Environmental Design.

Mindy worked as a teaching assistant at Ivy Tech in the Interior Design department where she continued to hone her design and communication skills by helping students with their projects. She was hired as an Interior Designer at C. Kramer Interiors in July of 2013. Mindy is delighted to be working in one of Michiana's premier design firms and is excited to have a chance to share her skills and passion for design with her clients.

Her personal design philosophy starts with a good relationship with the client. She is adept at helping clients create an interior that incorporates good space planning, use of color, and other elements of design that result in living spaces that are an elegant reflection of her clients' lifestyle.

Mindy is happy to help you with your design needs and can be reached by email or phone at C. Kramer Interiors.

Tracy Magyar is a native of the Michiana area. She was highly influenced by her father who had a very refined design esthetic. When Tracy was 18 her parents built their dream home in collaboration with a prominent local interior design firm and builder, finding herself fascinated by the process. It was the beginning of what would become her lifelong love of design.

After graduating from high school in 1983, Tracy went to work for her father in his van conversion company. Starting in the shipping department, then ultimately earned an office management position.

Tracy married in 1989 later having two sons. As Tracy began to raise her family she realized her true love was design and she began in earnest to work on developing her design skills and aesthetic sensibilities. Friends began recognizing her talents and started asking Tracy for design advice. Word spread and in her spare time she began to pick up small jobs helping people with their design needs.

As her family matured, Tracy realized she wanted to formalize her design training. She enrolled at Ivy Tech Interior Design School and graduated with honors in 2009, winning best of show for her intro to interior design project. Immediately resuming her personal design business, her first choice has always been to work in a team environment. Tracy began the arduous process of searching for just the right design team with which to collaborate.

Starting in summer 2014, Tracy is thrilled to be working with the stellar design team at C. Kramer Interiors! Tracy Magyar's collaborative design skills, her design aesthetic, and talents in combination with the support and resources at C. Kramer Interiors are a formula for success in any project with which she is involved. Her clients say they love how she combines her talents and skills with their needs and style to make a space that they love to use and share with family and friends.

Tracy feels privileged to help you with your design and furnishing needs. Feel free to email her or give Tracy and the team a call at C. Kramer Interiors.
